Skills Checklists for Youth Players

See a table of U8 to U14 Player Skills, with links to YouTube skills videos that are also organized in playlists:

For more detail and advanced skills, see Fundamentals - Skills Checklists, also WABC Coaches Manuals.

A skills checklist is a notional curriculum that can be adjusted  for players at different stages of development. It is not a list of what every player should be able to do at their age level; some players will be acquiring skills, others will be refining or mastering them.

For comparison, see these skills curricula (pdfs),

Also see a comparison of youth skills curricula by age range.

Coach Lynch Basketball has curricula by grade (see this table for all grades):

Also see Hardwood Texas Fundamentals Checklist (grades 4-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12).

Drills and practice plans are the resources needed to deliver a curriculum. See Youth Basketball for a range of options including the Jr. NBA Curriculum.up
