Dribbling
4 cones

sketch
1

1 makes a hard change of direction dribble at each cone (crossover, pullback crossover, behind the back, spin, through the legs) then explodes with one hard dribble to score. Progress to a pull-up shot after the last cone, then shoot over it.

Variations

- replace the last cone with a coach, see Chair drill for options
- attack the basket using 4 cones on one side of the court, return to halfcourt making moves using 4 cones on the other side
- go fullcourt using both sides of the floor (fullcourt moves)
- move the cones closer to the basket, start with shots from a second cone, then floaters or hook shots from the last cone (American Basketball Quarterly, 2004Q3).
