Long Island

Brian McCormick

Two teams moving around in a small area, each team has one or two balls (depending on numbers), players on each team pass to their teammates, the other team does not play defence, they are obstacles. Use bounce passes to avoid hitting players in the face.

Progression - two-dribble passing, players dribble twice before passing.

See YouTube video - Long Island passing.

Also see Passing - Numbers.

Variation - Long-Island dribbling - all players have a ball and dribble in and around each other in a small space, no straight lines. Start with walking, progress to jogging, skipping, shuffling, running. Everyone is a moving obstacle. Progression - dribble tag.
