Defending - Influence

Defender O1 dribbles out to the foul line, passes to O2 on the baseline, sprints to halfcourt (if he is a guard) or the far foul line (if he is a big man), then defends O2 who is attacking at full speed. The defender should fake at the attacker so that the ballhandler will slow down or change direction, allowing O1 to get into a better defensive position in the open court. If O1 can fake and force O2 to choose a side, then O1 can retreat hard to cut off the side left open by the fake.

Variation - O1 starts at halfcourt, O2 attacks from the baseline.
