Zone set plays
Patrick Hunt screen the zone

That's a Foul, April 2004

a) 4 screens the bottom defender, 3 can work the sideline for a skip pass.

In addition to screening, other keys in beating a zone are:
- fast break, and an early zone attack from transition
- attack the glass with at least 3 rebounders
- get high-percentage shots the first 3-4 possessions
- pass with patience, the zone will deteriorate after a few passes
- reverse the ball
- take it away from a shooter, bring it back
- use pass fakes to shift the zone
- gap the zone (alignment)
- gap and freeze dribble, dribble entry
- putting posts behind the zone (e.g., level with the backboard, or short corner)
- attack from the back (run players baseline, flash into the post from behind, look for lob passes).
