Kermit Davis vs match-up

Kermit Davis

Don't use the term match-up, there is just man or zone defence, attack a match-up like man. Send cutters through the lane to know if it's man or zone. 4 faces 5's side, 2 cuts above 4, 3 cuts below 5, if defenders follow the cutters it's man (5 could be on the other side of the lane, then 3 would cut using 4).

Their man offence is high-low, e.g., 1 passes to 3 and cuts opposite (see Bill Self high-low).
