Layups
Raiders

sketch

Sidelines, May/June 2008

Each player has a ball and is paired with another player (here the pairs are 1-3 and 2-4). One player from each team starts in the centre circle, partners stand on a sideline, dribbling on the spot with their weak hand. Each player in the centre circle dribbles to take a layup at both baskets, then dribbles to the sideline and taps his partner on the hand, and partner dribbles to take a layup at both baskets. Go for 3 minutes, which team can make the most baskets?

Option - specify jump shots instead of layups.

(Variations)

- use only one ball per team if there are not enough balls
- all players start from a sideline.

See dribble-shoot relay in Shooting.
